Become an agent of radical self-expression.
Now is your time to put in the work and create art that feeds your curiosity as much as it feeds your soul.
The courses I’ve designed help students focus on letting go of tradition, letting go of control, in order to make art that is rooted in exploration and feeling.
It’s not just about the finished painting or drawing, it’s about the process of freeing yourself from the rules that burden us into not trying something new.

My Process
-
Plan with Purpose
I’ve designed a robust set of exercises intended to free the mind, so the rest can follow. I don’t want emphasis on perfection or exactness, rather I hope students will be able to feel the truth buried deep within themself.
-
Collaborate Openly
I feel a collaborative workspace encourages an open and communal experience. Instead of sitting at your easel the entire time, never engaging with the group, I like to get students talking so they feel a sense of support while the express their identity. In a classroom, or at someone’s home, I proved a safe space for curiosity to flourish.
-
Adapt and Soar
Every person is different, however what most of us have in common is rigidity in our execution of the art we want to make. We want things to be “perfect” so I feel exercising experimentation will help us uncover that truth that is buried beneath the perfectionism. If we remain flexible and responsive to make sure the process fits our flow, we can uncover truths that feed the exactness we desire.
-
Deliver with Confidence
When we deliver, it’s not just a finished painting, it’s a solution, an answer to a deep emotional truth within us. When we step away and say a piece of art is done, it should be unbreakable in that no matter who criticizes it, or doesn’t like it, it won’t matter. Because we did the difficult work digging deep for the the honest truth of our intention.
